The Aras UNESCO Global Geopark is geographically a mountainous region with its highest point at the peak of Mount Kiamaki at an altitude of 3,347 meters. In Aras Geopark, the horizon is mountainous from all sides, and in fact, these mountains are the southern continuation of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains. The presence of numerous and diverse mountains in this global geopark has made this region a very important destination for local and national mountaineers. In addition to Mount Kiamaki and the mountainous area around it, the Kamtal, Gechi Qalasi, Alli Bashi mountains, the mountains around the Saint Stepanos Monastery, and the heights of Dareh Sham and Monjoqlu are among the very beautiful mountaineering routes that are the climbing destinations of many professional and amateur mountaineers every year.
