The Aras UNESCO Global Geopark is annually a travel destination for tourists interested in backpacking and camping. The natural areas of the Aras Geopark, including geosites, hiking trails, and the forested regions in the eastern part of the geopark, are attractive spots for camping for this group of travelers.

In addition to these natural areas, urban zones of the Aras Geopark—especially in the city of Jolfa—also provide infrastructure such as parks and designated camping areas established by the Aras Geopark management and the Aras Free Zone Organization, which are suitable for camping. Among these places are Kuhestan Park, Salamat Park, Dorna Park, Dorna Camp, Tabiat Park, Mosafer Park, as well as the geosites of Gechi Qalasi and Shalali Dara.
